My Running Journey

This seems to be the only New Years Resolution I managed to keep *does dance*. I was not a great example of 'fitness', at 20 years old I struggled to run for the bus. Fed up of my horrific lack of fitness I decided to take up running so I joined a gym, jumped (more like forced myself) onto a treadmill and started running. 2 minutes 47 seconds later I felt like death.. Then I decided I needed a plan and a goal. My goal was to be able to do a 5k in June, 6 months from now...plenty of time - an achievable goal. So a few days later I went back to the gym and decided to run for 2 minutes followed by a minutes walk for about 10-15 minutes. Slowly I upped my running time to 3 minutes then 4 then 5 etc until I reached the 2km milestone which I was thrilled about...2km in 16 minutes is not something you'd usually hear someone raving about. My goal was to then do a 2km run without stopping. Then a 3km run without stopping..then 4..you get the gist. Then by April I was able to take...
